About Gepetto Perin
Science changes constantly. Every year, thousands of studies are published on nutrition, the microbiome, metabolism and health. Yet most of that knowledge never reaches the public in a clear form — or it does, transformed into eye-catching headlines, exaggerated promises, or recommendations stripped of context.
Gepetto Perin exists to travel the opposite path.
This is an editorial project dedicated to turning scientific evidence into understandable knowledge. Every book, editorial and piece we publish starts from a critical review of the available literature, prioritizing the quality of the evidence over trends or easy conclusions.
Here you won't find miracle solutions, products to sell, or extraordinary claims without scientific backing. Nor will you find the false certainty that science always has a definitive answer.
You will find questions, evidence and context.
Because understanding is usually far more useful than receiving oversimplified answers.
How we work
Every publication follows the same editorial process:
- 01It starts from a concrete question.
- 02We review the available scientific literature.
- 03We assess the quality of the evidence.
- 04We compare results when conclusions differ.
- 05We distinguish facts from hypotheses.
- 06We explain both the certainties and the uncertainties.
The goal isn't to tell you what to think, but to give you the tools to interpret the evidence for yourself.
Our philosophy
We believe science communication should be rigorous without giving up accessibility.
We believe acknowledging the limits of knowledge builds more trust than faking certainty.
We believe a good explanation can be as valuable as a new discovery.
And we believe science belongs to everyone, not only to those who produce it.
If this project helps you better understand the evidence behind the decisions that affect your health, it will have fulfilled its purpose.
